Obama Fears The Ghosts Of The Fallen

Obama Fears The Ghosts Of The Fallen

There is great hue and cry amongst certain circles about President Obama skipping the ceremony at Arlington Memorial Cemetery yesterday and instead speaking in Chicago on what, for most of us, was a day for remembering the fallen dead, those who sacrificed the utmost in order to preserve the sovereignty of our nation.

Mr. Obama’s apologists will fall over themselves to remind us that he is not the first President to forego Arlington on Memorial Day. Ronald Reagan missed Arlington four times in eight years; both Presidents Bush missed going to Arlington on Memorial Day, in fact H.W. Bush never went once. Bill Clinton traded space in Arlington for political favors and sold others for cash. But that’s not the point as far as I’m concerned.

Barack Obama’s passing up our most sacred military cemetery on the day we honor our slain veterans is more appropriate than anything else.

I would think that Obama probably would not want to go make a speech in front of the graves of the more than 300,000 brave souls whose mortal remains inhabit that hallowed ground. I would think that if he were to be made aware of how out of place he would be in the presence of so many true American heroes, he would at last develop a sense of shame concerning his open disdain for the country he so frequently chastises and decide that to speak in faux honor of those he does not honor is beyond even his stupendous ego. I would think that were he a superstitious man, he might very well imagine the ghosts of the fallen in Arlington rising up and pulling him down as he pontificated about a sense of duty and honor he knows little to nothing about.

Knowing that Mr. Obama has so little regard for the military and law enforcement in general, I am not at all surprised that his administration felt it was no big deal to lay flowers on the grave of a dead soldier, especially if no one knew who the soldier was. Given his propensity for painting our soldiers in the field as marauders, kicking in doors in the middle of night and terrorizing women and children, why would he honor them? Why show respect if you have none? The Tomb of the Unknowns is dedicated to American men and women who have died in defense of this country without their remains having been identified, so for all Obama knows he could be honoring a Confederate soldier or a Viet Nam Vet and how would Reverend Wright and Bill Ayers feel about that? How would the ultra left liberal America haters who put him in office feel knowing their icon honored baby killers?

So don’t be offended because Barack Obama didn’t feel it necessary to go to Arlington yesterday to revere our service men and women. Don’t assume that because he chose not to honor tradition that he did it as an open insult to our troops, because I don’t believe he did it as an intentional slap in their face. I believe that when it comes to President Obama, the slap in the face is implied. I believe he simply doesn’t give a damn.
